Kitchen Garden - a need of every family

  A training programme was organized on the Importance of vegetables in diet and garden cultivation by KVK Sagroli on July 6 th at Bavalgaon, Biloli. Lack of nutrition and the excessive use of chemical, fertilizers and pesticides have been causing serious diseases among women such as anemia and bone diseases. It has become a present need to consume organic vegetables in our day to day life to maintain the health of our family. For this, if a nutrition garden has been developed at every house, there won’t be shortage of vegetables and it will certainly help us to save money, simultaneously we will be benefited with fresh nutritious vegetables. During this training programme, the participants were shown the design of Gangma Mandal. Seeds were given after explaining the importance of traditional and indigenous vegetable seeds. Adv. Sangareddikar who works for guiding and promoting organic farming was also present.

Fruit bagging training programme

  Bagging is a physical protection method which not only improves the visual quality of fruit by promoting skin colouration and reducing blemishes, but can also change the micro-environment for fruit development, which can have several beneficial effects on internal fruit quality. Pre-harvest bagging of fruit can also reduce the incidence of disease, insect, pest and mechanical damage, sunburn of the skin, fruit cracking, agrochemical residues on the fruit, and bird damage. In this regard, a training programme regarding fruit bagging was held at Hottal on 19 th July, 2022 by SSM’S KVK Sagroli. During this training Dr. Priyanka Khole elaborated the farmers and farm labours the need and importance of fruit bagging, proper methods of bagging, machines and equipment used in bagging process etc in detail. Fruits and vegetables like guava, mango, papaya, pomegranate, pumpkin and bitter gourd can be bagged.

Dial Out Conference Call - Connect to Farmer's Field

This initiative was   started smoothly by Krishi vigyan Kendra ,Sagroli. Continuous rain has adversely affected the soybean crop for the past few days, mainly the farmers are facing the problem of yellowing of soybeans and stunted growth.    Today, dial out call was organised with the help of Reliance Foundation and Krishi Vigyan Kendra Sagroli ,dist. Nanded.     Prof. Kapil Ingle,   KVK scientist interacted with the farmers and advised them to spray Ferrous Sulphate 50 gm or Chelated Micronutrient Grade 250 gm or 50 ml per 10 liters of water and drain the excess water from the field for remedial measures against stunted growth and yellowing of soybean crop. For pest management in soybean crop, farmers are advised to use 50% of recommended insecticide dose along with 5% neem tree extract spray, pheromone traps 5-10 per acre, bird bait 20-25 per acre.   ADHYAYAN, a Mumbai based institution, creates various innovative teaching aids and learning tools like Crossword puzzles, language games, educational videos etc and also assists teachers and students to update their knowledge and skills by organizing   need-based training programs. The Chief of the institution Mr. Rajiv Vartak has visited SSM’s integrated educational campus recently. In his three day’s visit from 30th June to 2nd July, he interacted with Science, Maths and Geography teachers and guided all the students in the campus.   Anushka Gangasagare, an alumni of SSM’s ZEST Academy,   is pursuing her B. Sc. Nursing degree course at Ferguson College Pune. Being a hardworking and promising student, Anushka scored 75% in her Second year’s examination. She stood at the second place from the entire college by qualifying the exam with distinction and so was felicitated by the college. Since her childhood, this girl, who came from poor and rural family background, is very hardworking and intelligent. To help her to fulfill her dreams, SSM in association with Drishti Foundation has been bearing her educational expenses. Till date, SSM has assisted many students like Anushka to pursue their higher education and most of the beneficiaries have been experiencing a better life through their jobs and businesses.

Another feather for Sainiki School Sagroli

  Sainiki School Sagroli boys achieved 1 st position in Subroto Mukherjee Divisional level football   championship held at Nanded recently. In District Level competition Sainiki School boys remained unbeatable in this competition in under 14 and under 17 categories. Though the tournament couldn’t be organized for last two years due to Covid-19 pandemic, Sainiki School boys played vigorously and achieved this success. This victory couldn’t be possible without the hard work and proper coaching by the coach Mr. Wasim Mirza Baig. Nanded district football association and district sports officer have congratulated and wish these teams to continue their upcoming expedition.
